The F-box gene encodes a key component of the SCF (Skp1-Cullin-F-box) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which mediates protein ubiquitination and degradation. In wheat, this gene plays a critical role in regulating abiotic stress tolerance (e.g., drought, salinity) by controlling the turnover of stress-related target proteins.
The F-box mutant collection below includes two types of materials: EMS-induced knockout mutants (with Cadenza as wild type) and overexpression (OE) lines (with Fielder as wild type), providing tools for both loss-of-function and gain-of-function studies.
Wild Type Background: Cadenza
3 mutant lines, all with premature termination mutations, backcrossed to BC3 generation and selfed to F2 for homozygosity.
| Name (命名) | Mutation Type (突变类型) | Generation (代数) | Seed Count (种子数) |
|---|---|---|---|
| EMS1 | Premature termination (提前终止) | BC3F2 | 150 |
| EMS2 | Premature termination (提前终止) | BC3F2 | 200 |
| EMS3 | Premature termination (提前终止) | BC3F2 | 100 |
F-box EMS mutants (EMS1/EMS2/EMS3) vs Wild Type (Cadenza).
Wild Type Background: Fielder
3 overexpression lines, generated via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation with CaMV 35S promoter driving F-box gene expression, stabilized to T3 generation.
| Name (命名) | Generation (代数) | Seed Count (种子数) |
|---|---|---|
| OE57 | T3 | 300 |
| OE69 | T3 | 300 |
| OE88 | T3 | 300 |
F-box Overexpression Lines (OE57/OE69/OE88) vs Wild Type (Fielder) .
